Before I begin to write what I had learnt from the training, I must say the accommodation at Leelawadee Lagoon Resort, Pattaya Thailand is excellent. Perfect tranquil setting away from the busy Pattaya City and yet just a 10 minute walk to the nearest happening pub, club, restaurant and massage spas.
A very BIG thank-you to our mentor David for providing FREE accommodation and food during the 3-day-2-night workshop. I dare say the entertainment provided on the second day was an eye-opener to many of us and probably left some of us wondering…”Are you sure they are all Men? Read on for more highlights and photos of the pretty “ladies” .
The workshop is great for newbies like me as David outlines the training step-by-step in a casual environment. The materials are easy to understand and simple to follow.
I shall attempt to regurgitate what was fed to me below. And for those who are only interested in the food and great entertainment section, you can skip this part and scroll down.
1. Domain Registration
Find a name/product and check for availability under www.godaddy.com. Some names might have been taken up and you will need to find new ones. Register the domain at www.godaddy.com for USD 8.95. Best to have a .com domain.
2. Web Hosting
The domain is like your house ADDRESS, and web hosting is, well-your house! Go to Hostgator below and then click “Web Hosting” and sign up under “Baby” plan for USD 9.95. You will be uploading your photos, files and content pages of your website here.

3. Link Web Site To Hosting
Find the two DNS (domain name servers) from Host Gator which will be given to you after step 2. Login back into Go Daddy and insert the two DNS under the “Name Servers” section. This step allows uploaded pictures, words, logo and etc from your Host Gator into your website.
4. Getting Into Cpanel
Cpanel is a control panel which allows you to handle all the administration of your website. You can access into the cpanel by typing www.yourdomain.com/cpanel. You create webmail, add subdomain, change your password and many more things.
5. Setting Up One Main Email
6. Making A Catch All Email
7. Checking Emails Work
Go to cpanel and click on mail. Set up an info@yourdomain.com. Buyers can communicate through this email address. You can set a “catch-all” email system in order to capture emails which do not have info@yourdomain.com. For e.g. the system will capture email with xyz@yourdomain.com, with xyz being any words or numbers or symbols. However, the @yourdomain.com must be accurately spelled.
Do testing to ensure your emails work. Send 2 emails from any personal account to info@yourdomain.com and xyz@yourdomain.com. Check the inbox to see whether the emails can be received and it captures all emails with the ending @yourdomain.com. Do another testing by sending emails out from info@yourdomain.com. Check whether you can receive the email.
8. Deciding On A Squeeze Page
This page is added into your blog or website to obtain names and email addresses. This will build up your database of targeted markets. Turn your suspects to your prospects. Thanks to David for the software.
9. Setting Up Autoresponders
This allows your incoming mails to be automatically replied. It forms as an acknowledgement to your potential buyers that you have received their emails and assuring them that you will be contacting them soon.
This great feature of autoresponders allows you to reply to many incoming emails AUTOMATICALLY. Great programme to have when you do not wish to write the same acknowledgement email to 10, 20 or more potential buyers. Go to www.1shoppingcart.com and check the autoresponders there.
