After attending World Internet Summit (WIS) in late Nov 2006, I decided to take the plunge of exploring into new unknown territory (at least for myself) and signed up for the David Cavanagh Internet Training Workshop in Pattaya. Totally a new thing for me, this internet marketing business...... but it helps A LOT that this seminar is held in Amazing Thailand-Pattaya to be exact which is PERFECT getaway from the hustle and bustle from busy busy city life.A change of scene helps the mind to relax, think and visualize for the future.
Booked for Kuala-Lumpur to Bangkok return ticket on budget airline Air Asia, 3 months in advance to catch the promotion price which costs a total of MYR 810 for two person. That roughly works to about USD 240 for two or USD 120 per person. After arriving at the new Suvarnabhumi Bangkok Airport, we took the free shuttle to the Bangkok Bus Terminal. You can check out their website at www.airasia.com. Air Asia offers fantastic deals every year and the latest I have heard is that they are going to have flights from KL-London soon! Whooohooo! London here I come!At the Bangkok Bus Terminal, I was tickled with one particular signage. There is a place called HAPPY LAND! Wow, would love to go there someday to check the place out. Must be a place where people are happy all the time. Got side track a bit there, anyway a taxi to Pattaya costs around 1400 Baht and the bus ticket costs 106 Baht per person. We decided to take the bus route and it took us 2 hours to arrive at the Pattaya Bus Terminal .
At Pattaya Bus Terminal, there are modified cars which are converted to carry passengers around like the taxis. These cars have a bell system, just like public buses, which you can press in order to get down, anywhere on the road. Standard pricing is 20 Baht per person for a ride just within the city.
